Education Access for All : Newton School
Shaffi co-founded Education Access for All which is setting up a network of Schools in small towns / villages across India with cross-subsidy access to economically underprivileged students and developing a technology based low cost study material access for Students across India. First School is operational in Beawer, Rajasthan, second School in Adimali, Kerala and four more Schools in preliminary stages of being setup. Simultaneously, educational training content is being developed from K to 12 to be distributed at a price of USD 2.50 across India through SHG’s to help rural students learn better even in the absence of teachers in Schools. The pilot distribution of the digital content is on at present covering 100000 students and project is slated for launch in Jun 2010.
