Shaffi is one of the founders, original promoters and director of Lifesupporters Institute of Health Sciences. Lifesupporters Institute of Health Sciences was formed with the intention of promoting Emergency and Critical Care education modules to save lives and to create cadre of trained professionals. Training at LIHS is imparted as per international standards to render Pre-Hospital and Hospital care. LIHS is accredited by Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC), India for imparting training of its various courses under the aegis's of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), India. LIHS was the first institute anointed to conduct the Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) pilot batch by HSSC. Lifesupporters Institute of Health Sciences courses are recognized by American Heart Association (AHA) (International Training Center), American College of Surgeons Advance Trauma Life Support India (ATLS), American College of Emergency Physicians International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), New York Presbyterian EMS and London Ambulance Service. LIHS has grown to be Asia's largest pre-hospital emergency care training organization.
